Easter Sunday

We were invited this Easter to Marie and Joel's for lunch and an Easter Egg hunt for the boys.  Some pic's I captured:

Each week we usually visit with Candice and the boys one night for supper and then playtime, which eventually leads to bed time.  This is what that looked like last week as Chad read Leo The Pokey Little Puppy.  Jack loves to play on Leo's bed, he was crawling around having a good time while the story was in progress.  So sweet!

Springing Forward today!

So glad spring is just around the corner!  This week started with freezing rain and sleet, causing the National Center of AHA to close on Monday, fortunately this doesn't affect my dept or my job, we can work anywhere we can get an internet connection, so we all showed up at our home offices right on time, and the day progressed as usual.

Even though the roads were treacherous Chad's family was able to make it to Dallas with minor incident; the front bumper being the only casualty.  

I think they had a nice visit, they got to reconnect with us as well as some old friends.  I was able to capture a few pics while we were together.

Fat Tuesday

This year at work we celebrated Fat Tuesday.  There was a lovely spread of Cajun offerings, what I noticed, was everyone ate small portions, maybe because there was so much to choose from or maybe thats how we can look at it, portion control not deprivation is key to healthy living.

January at Lake Palestine

Our weekend escape became a business meeting when upon checkin we were told we needed to get our tablet at our owners update, for that reason; Chad agreed to see them.  It was probably one of the best owners meetings we have had, lunch, a tablet, and a gift card.  I guess that was worth 90 min of our time.  The reps never can come up with a better deal for us, then what we currently have - maybe one day.  BTW - Red Presidentials in Galveston are going for $74K and they are sold out - wow! We agreed we would work out our 2014 PTO while we were there - felt like we accomplished alot. 

I think we had the whole resort to ourselves - it was like a ghost town at the Lakeside part of the resort.  The weather turned out great and we had a very productive weekend, just taking care of vacation business. Wish all of our meetings with them went that well ;->

January 11 - Jack turns 1 year old!

Baby Jack celebrated his big day last Saturday - we all got together for a yippie ki yo ki yay western themed celebration at his spread!
